Age related changes of sagging facial skin and loss of volume can make us look sad, tired or angry. Dermal filler treatment offers a safe and effective solution to volumise and contour the face.
Dermal fillers are a gel-like substance containing hyaluronic acid – a substance naturally found in the body that helps keep your skin hydrated and plump. Dermal filler treatments can fill wrinkles, volumise and define facial features – creating beautiful, natural-looking results.
Dermal fillers can be used for the following areas:
As we age our levels of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin declines. This means our skin and lips get thinner and look dull, the middle of our face looks saggy with deep lines forming from the nose to mouth, our lower face loses definition with deep lines appearing from mouth to chin, and we notice hollows under our eyes and on our temples.
Injecting hyaluronic acid can subtly lift, contour and hydrate your face, leaving you with a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. At SAYA Aesthetics, we use safe clinically proven brands of premium dermal fillers.
Following dermal filler treatment at SAYA Aesthetics, you can expect to see more volume and definition in the areas treated. Your skin will look brighter, and you will feel more rejuventated.
Dr Salma specialises in providing natural results – the aim is always natural and effective results, rather than dramatic changes.
All treatments are bespoke and tailored to individual needs, so the outcome will vary from patient to patient. Results generally last between six and 12 months, with repeated treatments having longer-lasting effects.
N.B. Individual results vary and are dependent on age and lifestyle factors.
As with all injectable treatments there are side effects and risks. It is normal for your skin to be slightly red and swollen immediately after any injectable treatment and mild bruising can also occur. These usually subside within 24 – 48 hours.
The dermal fillers we use have are reversible, have a high safety profile, with extensive clinical research. However, as with all aesthetic procedures, complications can occur.
The most serious risk is if the dermal filler is injected into an artery, which can block off the blood supply to the skin leading to tissue death. This is called a vascular occlusion. This is a rare complication which, as a medical clinic, we are able to treat with the relevant emergency enzymes to reverse and dissolve the filler.
We do not offer dermal filler treatment to anyone under 18 years old, with a known allergy to the ingredients in the product, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
To ensure you get the best results, we will explain what to expect after treatment and email you aftercare instructions. These include avoiding exercise, alcohol and applying pressure to the injected area for 24 hours, and no facials, massage or device-led treatments for one week following the procedure.
